About this course:
UCC Polity and History:
What is the history of our denomination? How did the United Church of Christ become “United” and what traditions did it unite? What are the dynamics of the covenants between local churches, clergy, laity, conferences, and associations? How is our church governance and polity intended to work? This course addresses these questions and fulfills the UCC History and Polity requirement for those seeking authorized ministry in the United Church of Christ.
Course meetings take place Thursdays January 7-February 25, 2027 6:30-8:30 PM CST via Zoom and the Damascus Project Learning Network.
